2Tonnes Climate Workshop

Achieving net zero is a complex systemic challenge.

Even if you work in sustainability, it isn't always obvious where to focus your energy to create the most impact. Should we focus on policy change or on our organisation's footprint? Should we pour energy into local grassroots projects or global initiatives? Should we boldly change our own lifestyles or focus on influencing through our work?

In our personal lives there are can be similar questions. Should I focus on changing my diet or my travel habits? Should I buy second hand or reduce my plastic use? Will my individual efforts account for anything at all?

2Tonnes is an immersive game, that puts you and your group in charge of transitioning our global society to net zero by 2050. Using live data simulation, the workshop allows you to observe the outcome of different decisions, across policy intervention, individual lifestyle choices, behavioural shifts and technological advancements.

Designed as a serious game, the workshop provides a systemic understanding of the issues, taking into account the individual and collective dimensions of the subject, without forgetting the role of influence, a key issue in the transformation of societies. 

This is a small group workshop for around 10 people.

Bénédicte is a sustainability consultant with experience in logistics and supply chains. She has facilitated the 2tonnes workshop for a variety of audiences, exploring how society and us as individuals can create a strategic plan for change.
