About

Saturday morning - time to let go of the week, connect with each other and have some fun. Join us for an uplifting vinyasa yoga class followed by a community coffee in our private courtyard café.

What is vinyasa yoga?

Vinyasa yoga is an energising practice where movement is underpinned by the breath. Sequences are structured to gradually build heat, strength and stability in the body while creating space, challenging balance and focusing the mind. You will be guided throughout with lots of variations available to support you in making the practice your own. Expect to play, wobble and sweat, then let it all go as you arrive in your final relaxation – shavasana.

This class is taught in our lovely studio. During summer months we will aim to move this class outside into our private courtyard.

Community Coffee

Stick around after class to join us for coffee, tea and cake, hosted in our private courtyard café (not included in the ticket price).

About the teacher - Martha Fish

With over 20 years of movement experience, Martha originally explored her love of movement through dance having trained in Ballet and Contemporary Dance. Following an injury, yoga provided new ways of exploring movement, a means of recovering and finding some much-needed headspace. Martha has since developed a strong practice - the positive effects of which have started weaving their way into her life off the mat. She has fostered her curiosity and development through dedicated self-practice and teacher trainings in Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Mandala and Pregnancy Yoga. Martha wants to equip her students with the tools to stand a little straighter, breathe a little deeper and to find freedom, joy and ease in their movement as well as offering a healthy amount of challenge!

FAQs

Do I need to have done yoga before?

No! This is a great class for beginners and individuals with more experience. Martha will provide plenty of modifications so you can find asanas (poses) that suit your body.

What do I wear?

Wear something comfortable to move in. You might get a bit sweaty so wear something that's light and breathable. You don’t need to buy a new outfit to do yoga.

What do I need to bring?

We provide yoga mats and props, so all you need is yourself. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you'd prefer.

What facilities do you have?

We have changing rooms, toilets, showers, lockers and secure bike storage all on site.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend arriving around 10-15 minutes before the class starts to give you plenty of time to get settled. Late entries disrupt the whole class, so if you arrive after the start time, we won't be able to let you in or refund you.

I'm injured - can I still come?

Please let Martha know at the start of class about any injuries and she will be able to guide you in any modifications. If you have moderate to severe or long-term health issues, please check with your GP before coming to a yoga class.

I'm pregnant - can I still come?

It is not advised to practise yoga in your first trimester. Please check with your GP first.

What is the cancellation policy?

We can offer a full refund if you cancel more than 12 hours in advance of the class. No-shows or late arrivals will not be refunded.

What are your props made out of?

  • Our mats are made from sustainably harvested natural tree rubber and recycled materials certified by Recycled Claim Standard (RCS).

  • Our bolsters are made from hemp, which requires very little water or pesticides to grow and are filled with natural buckwheat hulls.

  • Our bricks are made from the bark of the Cork Oak Tree, which is the only tree that regenerates its bark once it’s been harvested. The Cork Oak can live for more than 200 years, with harvesting taking place every 7-10 years.

  • Our belts are made from 100% organically grown cotton.

  • Our blankets are all second hand.
